Wanted parolee arrested in Paso Robles

–Alvaro Paez (28 years old), of Paso Robles, has been on the run since failing to show up for sentencing in June 2019, stemming from felony domestic violence charges, with an enhancement.

On Sunday at 10:05 a.m., a Paso Robles Police Department officer located a vehicle associated with Paez near an apartment complex, in the 3000 Block of Spring St. The officer knew Paez was close and located him within the apartment complex. Upon seeing the officer, Paez fled, running into a random apartment. The solo officer called for backup as Paez was trapped inside. Before responding officers arrived, Paez ran out of the apartment and the chase was on once again. Paez didn’t get far and was caught without further incident. Upon his arrest, Paez was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Paez was arrested for his no-bail warrant, two other misdemeanor warrants, and was additionally charged with 148(a)(1) PC, resisting/delaying a peace officer, 602(m) PC trespassing, and 11377(a) H&S, possession of a controlled substance.
