Public invited to view textbooks prior to school board approval

The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is conducting a public display of textbooks slated for Paso Robles Public Schools Board of Trustees adoption on June 25, 2013.

These textbooks are a state approved common core supplement to the currently adopted mathematics program published by MacMillan/McGraw-Hill in grades K-2. Also on display will be Sociology, A Global Perspective, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt/Cengage Learning, 2012 for the newly revised Sociology Course at Paso Robles High School.

The public is invited to view these textbooks prior to adoption by the Paso Robles Board of Trustees.

The public display will run from June 10-21, 2013 at the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Office located at 800 Niblick Road, Paso Robles. Materials are available for preview in the Department of Instruction Conference Room between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All public parties interested in viewing the displays must check in at the front desk prior to viewing the materials.

Public input is welcome. Public comments are due by 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013. The Board of Trustees will be presented these textbooks and recommendations at a regular Board of Trustees meeting on June 25, 2013.
