Wine alliance hires LA marketing firm for branding

The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance announced it has selected Los Angeles based David&Goliath as its creative agency. As the Alliance’s new creative partner, the agency will focus on branding the Paso Robles American Viticultural Area. The new brand campaign is set to launch in 2013

For the last 20 years, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance has led the charge in branding Paso Robles as a source for high quality wines and a tourism destination. Today, the local economic impact of the wine industry equates to $1.8 billion with an approximate $113 million in tourism expenditures.

“The Paso Robles wine region continues to benefit from great media coverage, and we believe the time is right to complement the positive press with a new campaign that captures the spirit of what makes our region special,” said Jennifer Porter, the Alliance’s executive director. “Through a focused search, David&Goliath proved to best understand Paso Robles and its needs as we embark on an exciting, new brand strategy.”

“We’re excited about the opportunity to partner with the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance not only because we are huge fans of great wine, but also because they have a true entrepreneurial spirit and are bold enough to embrace it,” said David Angelo, founder and chief creative officer.

The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance plans to launch the campaign in January 2013.
