Wine, beer and soda makers to help city celebration

Paso Robles 125th Anniversary Celebration announces beverage partners

Hope Family Wines, Firestone Walker Brewing and Pithy Little Soda Works all providing support to support the celebrations

aso Robles 125th Anniversary Celebration Organizers of Paso Robles 125th Anniversary celebration are delighted with three local companies stepping up to help kick off the 2014 quasquicentennial with specially made wine, soda and beer.

Hope Family Wines, who has been farming in Paso Robles for over 30 years, is devising two “Paso Blends,” a red and a white that are being blended specifically for the occasion and will celebrate the momentous occasion while speaking to the best of Paso Robles wine grapes. “We are excited to be part of this year-long party to celebrate Paso Robles’ 125th anniversary,” says Austin Hope, President of Hope Family Wines. “Crafting the commemorative wine blend seemed like the perfect way for us to symbolize the love and respect we have for this amazing community.” The bottles will display the 125th Anniversary logo and will be available to purchase through Hope Family Wines, with a portion of proceeds going back to the celebration. The wines will be unveiled at the Gala Fundraising Dinner on New Year’s Eve.

Firestone Walker Brewery has also generously stepped up to donate a large supply of their 805 ale to the cause. Fittingly, this beer is sold only in the 805 area code, so is perfect to help celebrate Paso’s 125th year and serve at fundraising events celebrating the occasion. “We are proud to supply our Paso-brewed ‘805’ to the 125th Anniversary celebration,” Says Jamie Smith of Firestone Walker Brewery, “it is indicative of the hard work, dedication and love that we have towards our hometown.”

Pithy Little Soda Works (the artisanal soda operation of Pithy Little Wine Co.) has stepped up and back in time and is crafting an exclusive “throwback” non-alcoholic soda to celebrate Paso’s 125th milestone. The commemorative soda label will feature a 125th theme and the new flavor will be unveiled at the fireworks celebration on New Year’s Eve, with bottles and 6-packs on sale next year. Pithy Little Wine Co. is donating a large supply of soda to the anniversary celebrations and is excited to be part of the community celebration. “”We are thrilled to be making an exclusive limited edition soda to celebrate the 125th Anniversary,” said Felicia Alvarez, owner of Pithy Little Wine Company. “We are looking forward to being a part of the year-long anniversary activity and fundraising events honoring Paso’s historic past and celebrating its future.”

Select sponsors of the 125th anniversary will each receive a supply of Hope Family Wines Paso Blends and Firestone Walker Brewery’s 805 Ale.

Events to celebrate Paso Robles’ 125th Anniversary include: A gala New Year’s Eve dinner in the Grand Ballroom of the Paso Robles Inn; a free fireworks show at midnight to ring in the New Year that will include entertainment, food options and fun activities for the whole family; “Happy Birthday, Paso Robles” on March 11, 2014; a newly imagined 4th of July celebration; an Old-Fashioned Family Fun Day in the park during Pioneer Day in 2014 and a fireworks finale on December 31, 2014.
