Winners of the Central Coast Vinegar Competition announced

Award-winning-vinegarThe California Mid-State Fair announced today the winners the inaugural Central Coast Vinegar Competition held June 11-12. The competition featured the best the central coast has to offer in wine vinegar. This unique competition provides a venue for California wine vinegars to be professionally judged and to educate consumers regarding the quantity and styles of wine vinegar produced in California.

“This is the first modern wine competition to judge wine vinegars. The wine judges greatly enjoyed the challenge. Fortunately one of the judges is a top ranked chef and his insight into possible uses for each entry was invaluable,” stated chief wine judge Bob Foster. “The range of smells and tastes was amazing. The additives that the produces have devised was incredible; everything from peppers and berries to vanilla.”

Award winning entries will be showcased in Mission Square at California Mid-State Fair July 16– 27 in Paso Robles. For more information visit centralcoastwinecomp.com.
