Crews extinguish residential fire
Neighbor found attempting to put out fire with garden hose
-At approximately 3:40 p.m. on Friday, Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services was dispatched to a single-family residential structure fire at 441 Morgan Lane in Paso Robles.
The first fire engine reached the scene within approximately eight minutes. This initial fire crew reported smoke coming from the attached garage. The fire crew quickly determined the garage was actually converted to a separate living unit.

In total, 12 firefighters and 2 battalion chiefs worked to quickly complete extinguishment and remove the water. Additional assistance was provided by San Luis Ambulance Service.
The fire’s cause was not immediately known. The resident sustained a minor injury, was evaluated on scene and released. Property damage was limited to approximately $8,000.
