The 805 Falcons, a semi-pro football team that includes players from the North County, kicks off its 2015 season on Saturday.

First game is this Saturday

The 805 Falcons, a semi-pro football team located on the Central Coast, will kick off its season Saturday, May 14 at Porterville High School against the Bakersfield Broncos. The team, owned and coached by Joe Jensen, was started on Jan. 1, 2013, with the objective “to provide adult athletes with an opportunity to further their football careers and inspire those athletes to be upstanding citizens to younger generations.”

According to the Falcon’s mission state, the team looks to provide “low-cost, high quality football entertainment to fans after the high school, NCAA and NFL football seasons have ended.” The Falcons are a part of the San Joaquin Valley Football League.

“We are starting our second season as a team after making it to the championship game last year,” Falcons Linebacker Coach Anthony Agueda said. “Sadly losing, but with an amazing debut and a division leader in our first season ever.”

The Falcons’ home field is at Coast Union High School. Admission to the games is $8 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Those who wear a jersey get in free.
