Additional roads approved for repair

– The City of Paso Robles announced that another contract has been awarded for street maintenance work using supplemental sales tax revenue. The streets to be repaired are:
- Walnut – Creston to Union
- Shannon Hill – Creston to Walnut
- Jackson – Union to Shannon Hill
Since passage of the Supplemental Sales Tax in 2012, the following streets have been repaired using this revenue stream:
- 21st – Riverside to Vine (partial funding from sales tax)
- Riverside – 10th to 17th (partial funding from sales tax)
- Union – Kleck to Prospect (partial funding from sales tax)
- Spring – 16th to 24th
- Airport – Pioneer Trail to Linne
- Rolling Hills – Golden Hill to Creston
- South River – Navajo to Niblick
- Country Club – Niblick to parking lot
Additional revenue was recently made available for street maintenance including gas tax from the state, and city transit funds. On June 2, the Paso Robles City Council directed staff to use these additional funds to perform maintenance as follows:
- Airport Road – Propeller to Tower
- Approximately 100 blocks of streets for preventive maintenance (slurry seal)
- “Hot spot” repairs at various locations
