Annie Barnes dies at 99
Annie Barnes.
–Annie “Marie” Barnes, born September 20, 1916, passed away on Jan. 18 at the age of 99. She was a longtime resident of Templeton, and regular garage sale hunters more than likely saw her a time or two.
Barnes was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding her friends and family. She loved the Lord and treasured her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin “Babe” Barnes in 1999, and her son John Barnes in 2010. She is survived by her son Tom Barnes, daughter Jane Finley (son-in-law Warren), grandchildren Randi Butler (Barnes), John Barnes, Kate Bartholomew (Finley), and Darren Finley, seven great-grandkids and 1 great-granddaughter.
Viewing will be held at Chapel of the Roses on Friday, Jan. 22 from 6 – 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at Templeton Cemetery, beginning at 11 a.m.
