AR & Co. PR & Marketing of Paso Robles this week announced hiring a new sales representative, Baxter Boyington, a seasoned professional in the marketing, hospitality and retail industries.

“I am honored to welcome Baxter to our team,” said AR & Co. President Angela Robinson. “He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience along with a long history of working closely with many community members, government officials, managers, executives and business owners here in our county. He will be an asset not only to our company, but to our clients as we work with them to create customized and effective campaigns.”

Previously the owner of his own advertisement firm, Boyington offers AR & Co. agency experience in strategic marketing, media buying, client relations, new business development and project management. Also the former Director of Sales and the Film Commissioner for the San Luis Obispo County Visitors and Conference Bureau, he successfully represented the county’s tourism-related businesses and promoted local movie and commercial production for a seven-year term.

With business partners, Boyington and his wife Linda operated Mary Anne’s Hallmark store in Atascadero from 2003 until 2010. Boyington meanwhile represented several of the county’s upscale hotel properties, managing both hotel operation and sales from 2007 to 2012. Most recently, Boyington has worked in the wine tourism industry, employing his abundant knowledge of Paso Robles wineries and local history in his privately led wine tours.

“I look forward to offering insights gained from my own marketing and management work,” says Boyington. “Not only do I understand the objectives our clients are trying to meet, but I can facilitate smart solutions that will ramp up their sales, foot-traffic, website hits and overall brand awareness.”

Boyington, an avid landscape artist and gardener, celebrates his 30th wedding anniversary with his wife this year. They live in the Santa Lucia Mountains with their dog, Miss Penelope Moneypenny, and cat, Lola.
