Atascadero Holiday Lighting Ceremony Dec. 5 

Atascadero Holiday Lighting CeremonyThe City of Atascadero’s annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Sunken Gardens.

The event is free and everyone is encouraged to bring their family and friends to enjoy an evening of fun and festivity. City officials will join the community in the count down for the lighting of the trees in the Sunken Gardens.

There will be entertainment by the Atascadero Community Band and the Atascadero High School Show and concert choirs. Santa will arrive on an antique Model A Fire Truck to the tune of “Here Comes Santa Claus” and everyone will then be invited to visit Santa in the lower Rotunda of the Historic City Hall from 6:30 -7:30 p.m.

Hot chocolate will be served on the front steps of Atascadero City Hall. The Atascadero Historical Society will provide guided tours of the building from 6:30–8:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by the City of Atascadero and the Presenting Sponsor H & R Block along with Idler’s Home, Rabobank, Coastal Communities Physician Network and SLO County Board of Supervisors.
