The Paso Robles Bearcats Varsity Football team beat the McClymonds Warriors of Oakland 48-44 on a cool night in Oakland.
The Bearcat’s Christian Erickson scored five touchdowns on 36 carries for 278 yards. He returned one kick-off for a touchdown.
The high scoring game on artificial turf looked like a track meet. The Bearcats and Warriors each scoring on big plays.
The go-ahead touchdown came after a long drive by the Bearcats with only three minutes left to play in the game.
The Bearcats improve to 3-0 for the season. The Warriors fall to 2-1.
The Bearcats travel next Friday to San Bernardino to take on Cajon.
