Bearcats trounce Nordhoff 42-10, Atascadero & Templeton claim wins

Bailey Gaither scored three touchdowns for the Bearcats, one on a 29-yard kick-off return. He finished the night with 121 receiving yards and 11 rushing yards.Christian Erickson rushed for 156 yards on 23 carries and scored touchdowns, and had 11 receiving yards.

Justin Davis was 12 for 17 with 161 passing yards, including three touchdown passes. Mark Armstrong had one rushing touchdown, Mark VanDyk had one interception, and Bryce Pasky kicked in 6 PATs for Paso Robles.

The Paso Robles Bearcats (5-0) will host the Morro Bay Pirates (2-3) in a non-conference game on Friday, Oct 3 at 7 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium; JV plays at 4:30 p.m.

Atascadero 35, Nipomo 21

Ethan Hicks had 24 carries, rushed for 159 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Greyhounds. Jason Goossens and Cooper Kuhnle scored one touchdown apiece.

The Atascadero Greyhounds (4-1) are on the road Friday, Oct. 3 to face the Pioneer Valley Panthers (2-2) at 7 p.m.

Templeton 28, Cabrillo 23

Scott Rigdon scored on an 8-yard pass from Jordan Bernal. Jared Wilson, Clint Howland, and Nate Avery also scored one touchdown apiece.

The Templeton Eagles (4-1) will host the Santa Ynez Pirates (1-4) on Friday, Oct 3 at 7 p.m.
