Council reviews Beechwood housing concept
Plan for 1011 new homes moves forward
The Paso Robles City Council held a workshop on Oct. 29 in council chambers to consider the conceptual site plan for the Beechwood Specific Plan. The council approved nine recommendations to the project’s conceptual design, it was reported. The workshop was attended by nearly 50 people, including local residents who voiced concerns.
The Beechwood Area is comprised of 13 parcels on 236 acres and is bordered by Meadowlark Road, Beechwood Drive, Creston Road and the PG&E transmission lines. The conceptual site plan proposes 1,011 residences and 3-5 acres of neighborhood serving commercial development. The city council considered the conceptual design and design principles, and heard input from the Planning Commission and general public.
Draft materials of the project are available for public review on the city website. Copies of materials may also be obtained from the Community Development Department by calling (805) 237-3970.
