Eberle Winery donates $4,500 to the Children’s Museum
Funds were raised from Haunted Cave Tours, weekend barbecues
–Eberle Winery recently donated $4,500 to the Paso Robles Children’s Museum as a result of the winery’s annual Haunted Caves and weekend barbecues. The Haunted Caves took place Oct. 30 and 31.
For the past several years, Eberle has hosted the event and requested donations to support local children’s charities. Once Gary and Marcy Eberle joined forces with the Children’s Museum in 2011, they said they knew it was the perfect fit and pledged future support.
“Tom Martin (museum founder) was like a brother to me,” says Gary. “It’s the least I can do to help support his dream that continues to benefit so many youth in our community.”
In addition to the annual Haunted Caves, the Eberles also host weekend barbecues at the winery with donations earmarked for the Children’s Museum. In 2015, Eberle Winery raised nearly $2,500 in barbecue donations. “We have fun doing it, “says Marcy, “and the museum benefits as well. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Children’s Museum Executive Director Jennifer Smith says the funds will be used for current programs and general operations. “As a non-profit, we rely on the generosity of our local community,” says Smith. “We truly appreciate the support.”
