High school to host Pulitzer Prize winning journalist

–Sonia Nazario will be speaking to students at Paso Robles High School on Monday, Nov. 9. Nazario is the award-winning author of “Enrique’s Journey,” the national bestseller about a young Honduran migrant’s journey to the United States in search of his mother. She also recently published a lengthy editorial in the New York Times about the role the United States is playing in Mexico’s immigration policy entitled “Refugees at Our Door.”

Nazario is also slated to speak that evening at Cal Poly’s Chumash Auditorium. PRHS is the only public school that she will be visiting during her short stay on the Central Coast.

Space is limited and students who would like to attend must submit permission slips (available at the front desk or counseling). They are encouraged to read the book before attending. Copies are available in the library.
