Hospital hosts seminars on health insurance enrollment

Open Enrollment, the period of time during which individuals who are eligible to enroll in a Qualified Health Plan for 2015 can enroll in a plan in the marketplace, lasts till Feb. 15.

Twin Cities HospitalTo help locals take advantage of this period, Twin Cities Community Hospital announces free informational seminars designed to guide individuals through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance enrollment, regulations, options, fixing last year’s problems, and tax filing requirements. Held at Twin Cities Community Hospital’s Founders’ Pavilion (Morgan Conference Center Room, 1220 Las Tablas Road, Templeton), the expert-led seminars will run through February 2015.

“So many members of our community still have questions, concerns or changes regarding their current health insurance plan, or need to enroll into an ACA compliant health insurance plan,” says Twin Cities CEO Mark Lisa. “These seminars are a way for anyone with questions or concerns to find access to answers from quality experts, at no cost.”

In order to provide informed insight on ACA-related issues and concerns, Twin Cities has teamed with 10 local taxation experts and insurance agents from Hinds Financial Group, Inc. in Paso Robles to lead the seminars. Each event will include a 10-15 minute presentation about ACA followed by an open format Q&A and seminar period, in which the experts will be available to assist attendees with individual questions as well as the enrollment process.

In addition to helping attendees enroll into or address problems, concerns or changes to ACA compliant health insurance plans, the seminars will also cover issues of rate increases, billing problems, subsidy changes and new tax filing requirements. The schedule of seminars is as follows:

January 17, 10 a.m.-noon
January 20, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
February 7, 10 a.m.-noon
February 14, 0 a.m.-noon
