Hunt Cellars receives honors from Food and Beverage World 

 

Wins in four categoriesHunt cellars

–Recently Hunt Cellars and many wineries from the Central Coast and other California wine regions were invited to compete in the 2016 California Wines of the Year that is sponsored by Food & Beverage World magazine. Each winery was allowed to compete in up to six categories ranging from Bordeaux to Ports. Hunt Cellars won the following categories:

  • California Pinot Noir of the Year: Hunt Cellars 2014 “Imagination” Santa Rita Hills
  • California Red Bordeaux of the Year: Hunt Cellars 2012 “Rhapsody in Red” Blend- Destiny Vineyards, Paso Robles
  • California “Other” Red Wine of the Year: Hunt Cellars 2012 “Thriller” Blend-Destiny Vineyards, Paso Robles
  • Hunt Cellars finished 2nd place with their 2012 Cabernet “Cabovation” Reserve, “Hilltop Serenade” Syrah and Port.

 

All Hunt Cellars wines are produced at their estate, Destiny Vineyards in Paso Robles. Their wines are hand crafted in small lots and aged in grand reserve style. Over the past four years, Hunt Cellars has finished in first place numerous times, more than any California Wineries who have competed, according to a press release.
