– Midnight Cellars Winery was recently recognized by Wine Enthusiast Magazine and Vinous (formerly Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar). Midnight received seven scores in the 90s. All of the scoring wines are 100-percent locally grown and produced. Midnight has dedicated 28 acres of hilly, rocky, limestone-rich and south facing slopes to the growing of quality, low-yield, sustainably farmed Bordeaux grapes in the Willow Creek District.

Award winning Bordeaux style blends include the 2010 Mare Nectaris (93 points Wine Enthusiast & 90 points Vinous) and the “Zenith” estate cuvee (92 points Wine Enthusiast & 91 points Vinous). The blend of syrah and estate zinfandel, “Gemini” reserve red (90 points Vinous) is noted for its “sappy black and blue fruit flavors and a suave floral quality.” Single varietal scorers include the 2011 estate merlot (90 points Vinous) and the 2012 cabernet sauvignon “Nebula” (90 points Vinous).

“It is truly an honor to be recognized for doing what we love, where we love, and to be a part of the stellar growth in popularity by producing award winning wines indicative of the region,” says Owner/Winemaker Rich Hartenberger.

Midnight Cellars’ tasting room is located at 2925 Anderson Road in Paso Robles. For more information and to see the full reviews, visit www.midnightcellars.com or call the tasting room at (805) 239-8904.
