New Uptown Family Park opens
A new park opened this week on the north end of town. It’s called the Paso Robles Uptown Family Park and it’s at 641 36th Street and Spring Street, one block east of Georgia Brown Elementary. The park was funded in full by a $2.5 million grant. The city was awarded a Proposition 84 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant.
“We have had a soft opening… and it’s now open to the public,” says Paso Robles Recreation Service Director Julie Dahlen. “We are planning a formal ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 3:30 p.m.”
Ground was broken on the project in September of 2013 and just recently completed. Verde Design created the new northern gateway to the city.
