City records almost a half inch of rain 

Storms expected to continue throughout the weekStorms in San Luis Obispo County Jan 2016

–Paso Robles recorded .41 inches of rainfall within the last 24 hour period, according to the Paso Robles Public Works Department.

Storms are expected to move through the area for the remainder of Tuesday, and into Wednesday and Thursday, according to Weather Underground.

There is a flash flood warning in effect for San Luis Obispo County, especially in burn areas, through late Wednesday night. High surf will also be observed at the coast. Drivers are urged to use caution on the roadways.

The city also recorded .06 inches of rain on Jan. 4, bringing the season total to 5.75 inches. The season runs July to June.

Last year the city recorded 9.51 inches or rain, where a typical season is more than 14 inches.
