Pat (Nee Millwee) Barrett, of Paso Robles passed away at home on Monday, March 30, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Barrett was born in Phoenix Arizona to Mary Kathleen and John Oliver Millwee. She grew up in Paso Robles and attended Paso Robles High School. She married her husband, Arthur Barrett in 1954. They resided in Avenal where they raised their six children. Barrett worked as a teacher’s aid in the Reef Sunset School District for many years and was loved by both staff and students.
Her greatest happiness was being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great grand-mother.
Pat is predeceased by her son Joel (1990), she will be deeply missed by her husband Arthur, her brother Dick (Margie), her beloved children, Arthur Barrett, Michael Barrett (Patty), Cynthia Barrett, Rebecca Peterson (Robert), Steven Barrett (Martha), her fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great grand-children, one great great grand-child and her many nieces and nephews.
Pat loved to paint, garden, travel, sew, collect bells and Asian artwork as well as lavish time on her large family.
Pat will be interred at the Los Osos Memorial Park on April 10, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held on May 3, 2015 at The La Quinta Hotel in Paso Robles.
Donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Research Foundation in lieu of flowers.
