‘Smash Out Cancer’ fundraiser this Friday

Smash out cancerThe Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is inviting students, teachers, and community members to participate in a “Smash Out Cancer” fundraiser at the Liberty High School parking lot, from noon to 1:30 p.m. this Friday, March 21.

The fundraiser is to support of Danae Ontiveros, a Paso Robles High School student recently diagnosed with bone cancer.

Participants will have the opportunity to destroy a junked car with a sledgehammer in a symbolic gesture to “smash out cancer”. For one dollar, a participant receives four swings or one swing for fifty cents. All proceeds from this event will go towards helping in Danae’s fight against cancer.
