19-year-old stabbed on Spring St. 

Victim taken to Twin Cities Hospital, police respond

paso-robles-police logoAt approximately 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, officers from the Paso Robles Police Department were dispatched to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton to respond to a report concerning a victim of a stabbing that had been admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

According to a press release from the PRPD, the 19-year-old victim reported he was walking in the 3400 block of Spring St. with a friend when they were confronted by three Hispanic males. One of the Hispanic males made a comment regarding the victim, who was wearing a red shirt, and then pushed the victim and started to assault him. During the assault, the victim realized he had been stabbed after feeling a sharp pain to his side and seeing a large amount of blood on his shirt.

The three Hispanic males ran from the area immediately after the assault occurred. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition with a stab wound to his torso. While the victim does not claim any gang affiliation, the crime is being investigated as a gang-related incident.

The Paso Robles Police are currently pursuing leads in the case and is requesting the public’s assistance with solving this crime.
