Symphony of the Vines hosts choral celebration
Choral Celebration at Mission San Miguel
Symphony of the Vines is hosting a Choral Celebration at Mission San Miguel Sunday, April 6, starting at 3 p.m. Celebrate the historic beauty and acoustics of Mission San Miguel as Symphony of the Vines collaborates with two local choral groups.
Canzona, a female choral ensemble, will perform works by female American composers. Led by Jill Anderson and Cricket Handler, Canzona has built a passionate following. Also joining The Vines will be the Cuesta North County Chorus. Under the direction of Cassandra Tarantino, the group has established an important niche in the North County for excellent choral performance. We will perform a recent composition, “An American Mass,” that features many popular melodies interwoven into the fabric of the music.
The Symphony of the Vines is a professional chamber orchestra based in north San Luis Obispo County. The mission of Symphony of the Vines is to engage and enrich the audience with music and artistry of the highest caliber. The group was founded in 2010 and is earning a reputation for artistically compelling and musically engaging performances. The Symphony of the Vines performs music spanning over 400 years, giving variety and enchantment to each concert.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to bringing live classical music to San Luis Obispo County.
