Templeton plans old fashioned 4th of July celebration 

4th-of-July-TempletonLocals are invited to come enjoy an Old Fashioned 4th of July celebration in Templeton. The day kicks off with a pancake breakfast served from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Templeton Fire Station located at 206 5th Street, Templeton. Pre-sale tickets are recommended. Family activities will follow in Templeton Park after the parade.

This year’s parade theme is “Our Land of Liberty”. Parade applications are available now at the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, 321 S. Main St., (805) 434-1789 or at the Templeton Community Services District Office, 420 Crocker St., (805) 434-4900). The parade begins at 10 a.m. and begins at 1st St. to Main St., west on 1st St. then south on Crocker St. to 8th St., 8th St. to Main St. and back to 1st St.

Enjoy a Celebration in the Templeton Park immediately following the parade that includes games for children (most activities are free), the Lions Club 4th of July Auction, great food/drinks, craft booths, and live music. The Matt Nino Band plays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by the Triple Down Theory Band (classic rock and roll) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bring family and friends and plan on enjoying the day at Templeton Park.
