Pickup truck catches fire on Vine Street

A pickup truck caught fire Sunday after 1 p.m. in front of a house on Vine Street in the 2100 block. Acrid smoke filled the air of westside Paso Robles around Spring and 24th as the trucked burned. Paso Robles firefighters were extinguishing the blaze at 1:10 p.m. which stilled flickered as fuel burned. A witness said the vehicle fire started in the engine compartment. Police closed Vine Street between 21st and 24th streets.
