    Paso Robles Police arrest man for felony DUI

    –Over the course of Friday night, officers from the Paso Robles Police Department arrested four drivers for DUI – Driving Under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. One of the arrests involved felony charges against Michael Lee Jauregui, 44, of Paso Robles, after he was involved in a collision with a parked vehicle. His passenger was injured in the collision, police report.

    Jauregui showed signs of alcohol intoxication at the scene and a DUI investigation was conducted, police report. Jauregui was arrested and his blood-alcohol level was more than double the legal limit, police report. He was booked in the San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony DUI and related charges.

    This was the only DUI stemming from a traffic collision Friday night. The other three DUI arrests resulted from officers conducting traffic stops through the evening.

    The Paso Robles Police Department asks the community to remain watchful for impaired drivers and please do not drink and drive! Officers are out in force conducting traffic stops and saturation patrols through a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety to make roads safer.
