    Five ‘leap day’ babies born in county including one at Twin Cities

    –Tenet Health Central Coast announced that local hospitals helped deliver five Leap Day newborns on Saturday, Feb. 29, a day that only comes around once every four years. The first “Leap Baby” was born at 8:18 a.m. at Twin Cities Community Hospital and four were born at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, including twins.

    At Twin Cities Community Hospital:

    Weight: 6 lb. 11 oz.

    At Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center:

    Genders: Girl and Boy
    Date and time of birth: 2/29/20 at 3:58 p.m. (Girl) and 4:04 p.m. (Boy)
    Baby Girl’s Weight: 5 lb. 15 oz.
    Baby Girl’s Height: 18 in.
    Baby Boy’s Weight: 6 lb. 4 oz.
    Baby Boy’s Height: 18 in.

    Leap-Day Baby Frances:
    Parents: Lauren and Mike Herrick
    Name: Frances
    Gender: Girl
    Date and time of birth: 2/29/20 at 3:05 p.m.
    Weight: 6 lb. 15 oz.
    Height: 20.5 in.

    Leap-Day Baby Charlotte:
    Parents: Jennifer and Ethan
    Name: Charlotte
    Gender: Girl
    Date and time of birth: 2/29/20 at 6:01 p.m.
    Weight: 7 lb. 6 oz.
