COVID-19: County reports a record 11 deaths in one day, 172 new cases

The county has now recorded a total of 16,228 cases. Currently, 57 people are hospitalized, with 9 in the ICU. About 58-percent of county ICU rooms are available at this time.
Active coronavirus cases in the county are currently at 2,299.
Sadly, today we report that 11 more local community members between the ages of 60 and 100 have died of COVID-19. This is the highest number of deaths we have reported in a single day and it pains us. Our hearts are with their loved ones today.
