Coach’s comment: Malia is a 3rd-year varsity golfer. Malia could be the athlete of the week every week of the season regardless of how she performs on the golf course. She has been an important part of helping establish a positive culture of support and camaraderie on our team. I am impressed by her competitive drive and constant desire to perform her best. Coach’s comment: Lainey is one of our top singles players as well as a solid doubles player. Last week we played the undefeated Tigers in 2 tough matches. Lainey really stepped up her game and won both singles matches against two different opponents. On Tuesday, her scores were 6-4, 7-6. On Thursday, her scores were 6-2, 6-2. We lost both matches but fought hard. Lainey played smart, focused tennis and scored our only points for Paso. She is hard-working, determined, and driven while also being one of the nicest teammates to our team and others. – Coach Laura Clowes

Coach’s comment: Senior Hannah Chambers had a great day in Saturday’s doubleheader against Mission college prep. In game 1, Hannah had 3 hits with 2 home runs. A 2 run shot in the 3rd inning and a Grand slam homer in the 6th. Hannah came on to pitch in relief of Brooklyn Pesenti for the save. She started in the circle for game 2 and earned the win. She scored 3 times in game 2 as well. The senior put in a full day’s work. – Coach Billy Tidwell
