COVID-19: SLO County reports first death in April, 55 new cases added

–The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department reported 55 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend; 15 on Monday, 17 on Sunday, and 23 on Saturday. The county also reported another death that they contribute to COVID-19, the first of its kind reported in April. The health department attributes a total of 257 deaths to COVID-19.

Active cases as of Monday afternoon were at 227, down considerably since January when active cases peaked at over 3,000.

The total number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 since March is now 20,972 in SLO County. The county reports 20,501 people have recovered from the virus.
