SLO: The gateway to Paso Robles 

When people think of California, they always think of Sonoma, said an NBC News anchor this week on CBS This Morning. But maybe not any more. CBS News travel editor Peter Greenberg recommended San Luis Obispo as one of the best places to visit in 2014.

“In my book it’s better than Napa, because it’s the gateway to Paso Robles: Great vineyards, great wineries… The owners are there and you’re not stuck behind 85 tour buses,” Greenberg said. “Your really have a great time there and you’re not crowded.”

Ooo. Won't San Luis Obispans just love being thought of as Paso's welcome mat? Used to be Paso folks went to SLO for Everything. Times change. Now SLO has the rotting empty buildings in need of retrofitting and Paso keeps getting more of the Sales and room tax revenues.
