    Volunteers sought to help clean up Toad Creek area

    Toad creek clean upThe Upper Salinas-Las Tablas Resource Conservation District (USLTRCD) is coordinating efforts among property owners within the town of Templeton and along Toad Creek who may benefit form clearing invasive vegetation to enhance flood conveyance through the waterway.

    Cleaning of vegetation will involve removal of blackberries, vinca, and other non-native riparian specie clogging up the channel. Additionally, dead limbs and other large wood material will be removed. All work will be done by hand crews using hand tools and chainsaws.

    The US-LTRCD has funds and will obtain all the necessary permits to conduct the work this year.
