Local man sentenced to 14 years in prison for child molestation 

Update July 10, 2014: Leonard Ray Franklin was sentenced Tuesday in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court to serve 14 years in state prison for molesting three underage relatives.

Original story April 30, 2014: A 70-year-old Paso Robles man, who was charged last year with abusing three relatives, plead guilty Tuesday in San Luis Obispo County Superior Court to three counts of child molestation.

Leonard Ray Franklin pleaded guilty to two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a minor under 14 and one count of lewd or lascivious act on a child under 14, the San Luis Obispo Tribune reports. His youngest victim was reportedly only 2 years old. He was being held in San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $2 million bail.

Franklin is set to be sentenced on July 8. He could receive up to 22 years in prison.
