Mastering Kick: Easy Way on How to Stream On Kick

Kick may be a new kid on the streaming block. However, the platform is already giving its older competitors a run for their money.

Founded in October 2022 and officially launched in January 2023, Kick was able to rack up millions of users within a few months, thanks mainly to its attractive revenue sharing model. The company lets content creators keep 95% of their subscription earnings, taking a paltry 5%. Comparatively, Twitch pays out 50% while YouTube offers 70% of subscription earnings to creators.

Many streamers also love Kick for its simulcasting feature, which lets them stream on multiple platforms simultaneously. Creators with a sizable following on other social websites can avail of this feature to triple their streaming revenue.

Flexible content guidelines, a responsive dashboard, and 24/7 live support are other reasons to make Kick your #1 streaming platform. And as you’re about to find out, the process of broadcasting content on this website is rather straightforward.

    The Kick Streaming Process

    1. Gather the Requisite Hardware

The first step on how to stream on Kick is to assemble the necessary gear.

You’ll need four basic streaming hardware – a computer or smartphone, camera, microphone and an internet source. Ensure each gadget is rated for Kick streaming.

Begin with a computer running an Intel® Core™ i7 processor or higher. The device should also possess a minimum of 8GB RAM.

Consider DSLR or mirrorless cameras. In addition to their exceptional video quality, these cameras come with interchangeable lenses that let you view your streams in different dimensions. Don’t forget related accessories, such as a camera stand, a USB capture card, an AC adapter, and an HDMI cable.

You can choose between a dynamic and a condenser microphone. The former is ideal where there’s too much background noise, while the latter works best in quiet backgrounds.

Lastly, pick an internet connection with 100 Mbps. This speed supports streaming, online gaming, and browsing simultaneously.

    2. Register for a Kick Account

Kick maintains a quick and easy account sign-up process.

    • In your browser, head to Kick’s homepage at https://kick.com/ and click on the green “Sign Up” button in the page’s upper right corner.

An account registration form will pop up.

    • On the form, enter your email address and birthdate, followed by your preferred username and password.
    • Confirm the password and click on the “Sign Up” button below.

Signing up with your Google or Apple account is also an option.

    • Enter the 6 – 6-digit email verification code sent to your email address to complete the account registration process.

If you already have a profile with Kick, you can sign into your account with your login credentials.

    3. Pick Streaming Software

Kick supports numerous streaming software, including EvMux, Open Broadcaster Software (OBS), XSplit, and Streamlabs Desktop.

User-friendliness is the biggest consideration when scouting for Kick streaming software. Prioritize cloud-based platforms that you can access on the go. The program should also provide customization features like dedicated chat rooms and audience engagement widgets.

And just like Kick, the software you choose should preferably support simulcasting.

After identifying the best Kick streaming software, sign up for an account on the platform. You can register for an account online or by downloading the app.
