Firefighters extinguish multiple blazes in North County
– Firefighters extinguished multiple small fires that broke out Tuesday morning in North County, according to multiple reports.
The first fire broke out at approximately 9:45 a.m. along Highway 46 East at Union Road in Paso Robles. According to reports, it burned .4 of an acre before crews were able to contain it.
A second fire was reported at 10:07 a.m. along Highway 41 just north of the Highway 46 “Y” intersection in Shandon.
The fire was contained by 11:20 a.m. after burning .35 of an acre.
Firefighters also responded to a wildland fire measured at a full acre near the 7000 block of Nonpariel Ct. in Paso Robles. This fire was contained as of 6:01 p.m. Several water tanks were damaged and one outbuilding also sustained damage.
Causes of the fires are all currently under investigation.
