Safetyfest returns to city park Saturday

Attendees can participate in safety demonstrations, view professional exhibits

    – The 3rd Annual Paso Robles SafetyFest, organized by PasoSafe in collaboration with the City of Paso Robles Fire & Emergency Services and North SLO County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in Paso Robles Downtown City Park. This free family event includes active safety learning exercises, live music, giveaways, and exhibits by first responders and safety experts.

The event will feature six live musical performances and a vintage Old Mack fire engine from the Paso Children’s Museum. A kids zone will offer activities such as sack races, tug-of-war, corn-hole, hula hoops, and blue blocks.

Attendees can participate in safety demonstrations and view professional exhibits. They can meet first responders and mascots Sparky, Smokey Bear, and Captain Cal, as well as watch two demonstrations by the Paso Robles Police Department’s K-9 unit. Giveaway prizes, including a Home Ring Security System, will be announced at 2:45 p.m.

The Community Emergency Response Team for North San Luis Obispo County will display “Disasterville,” a series of playhouse-sized homes devastated by local disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, and floods, to educate the public and motivate them to prepare.
