CPR app aims to boost bystander intervention

Free mobile application alerts CPR-trained citizens to nearby cardiac emergencies

    – Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services announced the city’s launch of the PulsePoint Respond CPR app at a press conference on Monday in Downtown City Park.

The free mobile application alerts CPR-trained citizens to nearby cardiac emergencies in public places. It notifies users when CPR is needed and directs them to the closest publicly accessible Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

PulsePoint Respond aims to increase bystander CPR participation and improve emergency response outcomes. The companion app, PulsePoint AED, allows users to report and update AED locations, maintaining a comprehensive AED registry for the community. Additionally, the app provides community awareness of emergencies in the city, helping residents stay informed.
