Paso Robles library hosts summer teen cooking series

teen cooking program at the library

Program is free, no registration required

    – The Paso Robles City Library is hosting a summer-long teen cooking program at the Oak Park Community Kitchen, located at 901 30th St. The program started June 17 and runs through Aug. 5, meeting every Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

No registration is required, and drop-ins are welcome. Participants will work with a guest instructor and team to prepare a “dish of the day” using a signature ingredient. They will find recipes and fresh ingredients, learn all the steps to prepare a dish from scratch, and present the dish to an all-ages group at lunch.

Additionally, attendees will earn a food handler’s certificate and receive scholarship money, paid as a stipend check at the end of the summer, for each class they attend.
