A few spots still available for free program

    – The Sheriff’s Office in San Luis Obispo County is gearing up for its annual youth summer camps, scheduled to commence next week, with a few spots still available for interested participants. The camps, designed for incoming 5th to 7th graders, promise a blend of fun and education, all at no cost to attendees.

Each day of the camp features a unique theme, accompanied by corresponding activities and assemblies. These camps are overseen by school resource deputies, who are educators and staff members from local schools, in collaboration with crime prevention specialists.

The camp locations and dates are as follows:

    1. South Camp at Mesa Middle School: Scheduled from June 10 to June 14. Interested applicants can email their applications to mlomeli@co.slo.ca.us.
    2. North Camp at Lillian Larsen Elementary: Set to run from June 17 to June 21. Applications should be sent via email to pmunoz@co.slo.ca.us.
    3. Coast Camp at Cayucos Elementary: Slated for June 24 to June 28. Applications can be submitted via email to cosman@co.slo.ca.us.

The camps have limited availability, with the first 120 applications being accepted. They are free for students residing in the unincorporated areas of San Luis Obispo County. To secure a spot, applicants are encouraged to promptly submit their applications to their assigned School Resource Deputy.
