North River Road to close for one day for intersection improvements
Closure is part of an ongoing intersection improvement project
– The intersection at North River Road and River Oaks Drive will be closed to through traffic for one day on Monday, June 24, from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the City of Paso Robles.
Morning commuters north of the intersection should take the posted detour via Wellsona to Airport Road. Residents north of the intersection will be notified by the contractor.
This closure is part of an ongoing intersection improvement project that began on June 10 and is scheduled to continue until July 17. The project includes traffic control for northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection. River Oaks Drive will not be accessible at North River, with a detour posted to Union Road. Residents can access the neighborhood via Golden Hill to Dallons or Golden Hill to 46E to Buena Vista Drive. There will be a partial closure from Experimental Station to North River, accessible only to residents and emergency vehicles.
Drivers are advised to drive slowly, be prepared to stop, and follow all posted detour signs to ensure safe travel through the area. Message boards with project details have been posted along North River Road and River Oaks Drive to inform and guide drivers.
This traffic mitigation measure is part of the development agreement for the River Oaks II project, aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow in the area.
