I love being in Paso Robles, so apart from the wine, I have always been interested in finding pickleball courts near me. In addition, I like to play at home, and it’s been difficult finding a doubles partner to play at the pickleball courts, so we will address that as well.

Centennial Pickleball Court
Centennial pickleball courts are the go to pickleball courts to play. Here’s an aerial shot of the courts (source: pickleheads). Thankfully, there are permanent lines for these pickleball courts and permanent nets.
The Centennial courts are located at 600 Nickerson Dr, Paso Robles, CA 93446, so if that is too far, and I will cover this more later, you may consider purchasing one of the best portable pickleball nets and setting up a court at home.

The Paso Robles Pickleball Club hosts a program on all five pickleball courts Monday through Saturday, 8:00am-11:30am for ages 18+. Registration can be found here.
Pickleball courts are open to the public 11:30am until dusk, Monday through Saturday, and all day on Sunday.

Templeton Tennis Ranch (Private)
Templeton Tennis Ranch has 8 dedicated courts with permanent lines and nets, but a membership is required which may mean you may look for a net for a home.
The address is 345 Championship Ln, Templeton, CA 93465, and the adult fee (per the website) is $160 per month for an adult.
Colony Park Community Center (Public)
Colony park has 5 pickleball courts and is located at 5599 Traffic Way, Atascadero, CA, 93422, USA. This may be a bit of a drive, and you may need to bring your own net and permanent lines to play.
Please note that this court is in Atascadero, so it may be a bit of a drive if you are in northern Paso Robles.
Vineyard Elementary
Per Google images, you can see that Vineyard Elementary has 1 dedicated pickleball courts with drawn lines, but you may have to bring your own net.
Here’s the address of Vineyard Elementary: 2121 Vineyard Dr, Templeton, CA, 93465, USA. As this may be competitive given only one court, you may want to try arriving earlier in the morning.
Creating a Pickleball Court at Home
If your Paso Robles home is too far from pickleball courts, you may also consider using the street to create your own pickleball court. This would be the nearest pickleball court to you, obviously.
For this, you may consider purchasing one of the best pickleball portable nets and then court markers. I have done this multiple times, and the nets are often easy to setup and on wheels, so easy to take down as well.
If you are setting up a court at home, you may also want to purchase additional pickleball paddles in order to allow other neighbours to learn to play on your courts.
