Fire off of Highway 41 contained at 150 acres
– A fire was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. along the southbound lanes of Highway 41 north of the Cholame Y Friday, according to Cal Fire.
Highway 41 was closed to traffic at the intersection with Highway 46 at the Cholame Y.
What was dubbed the Cotton Fire burned 150 acres. No structures were destroyed and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
