Cal Fire, CHP respond to six-vehicle crash in Paso Robles
– Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a crash involving six vehicles on Highway 101 in northern San Luis Obispo County on Thursday evening, according to multiple reports.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., CHP received reports of a six-vehicle crash south of Highway 46 West in Paso Robles on the southbound side of the highway, causing significant traffic delays. The crash occurred near the Target shopping center.
Traffic was backed up in both directions due to the collision. Ambulances were dispatched as a precaution by 5:21 p.m., with at least two vehicles needing tow trucks, reports say. No major injuries were reported.
By 5:33 p.m., one vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, and another was on fire, reports say. The fire was largely contained by 5:45 p.m.
