Obituary of John (Jack) Tracy McCue, 27

John (Jack) Tracy McCue.
– It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Tracy McCue (Jack), of Paso Robles, CA on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, just 8 days shy of his 28th birthday. He was the cherished son of Kim and Dave McCue and brother of Audra Arena and her husband Tom, loved partner of Sadie Grayford, grandson to John and Sue McCue, and Dawn and Bill Stokes. He was an adored nephew of Ed and Stacy McCue, Marvin McCue, Russell and Linda McCue, and Tracy Anderson. Loved by his Great Uncles, Ken Phillips and Carl Phillips, and his Great Aunts, Terry Adams and husband Jim and Toni Gustitis. The love he had from and for his numerous cousins is one envied by all. He was a true friend to all he met.
Jack was a Rock Star in every sense. His love of music and devotion to his two bands, Hot Mom Music and the Riff Rats were inspiring. He lived his dream every day. When he wasn’t making music or rockin’ out at the Whisky-a-Go-Go (yes, he played there twice) he was working at The Rainbow and living his best life with the love of his life, Sadie. He was adventurous and spontaneous in a way that brought him so much joy. There was nothing that wasn’t possible and worth trying, he was open to all of life’s experiences. He always looked out for the little guy and was a big believer of maintaining his place in the no-judgment zone.
Jack was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland before moving to Paso Robles just after his first birthday. He graduated Paso Robles High School, class of 2014. He loved the Central Coast, Morro Bay, Cayucos, and a tri-tip sandwich with an 805. He was a true California boy, but remained loyal to his roots and was a lover of everything MD including the flag, crab feasts, the Orioles, and anything with Old Bay on it.
Music was only one of Jack’s passions. He played soccer growing up and then, in his teens, developed a love for baseball. His loyalty to the San Fransico Giants was strong. This was his team, however, the “other” black and orange jerseys on the East Coast also held a piece of his heart, and he was a true Orioles’ fan. He loved his childhood dogs Taylor and Sasha and his own dog Juice. If he is reincarnated, he wanted to come back as a penguin, which was always his favorite animal. He loved all spicy food and collected hot sauces; he viewed spice as a challenge to beat.
Jack’s smile lit up a room and for those that love him, his light will continue to shine through the wonderful memories, photographs, and videos we are so fortunate to have with us forever.
If you’d like to honor Jack’s love of animals please donate in his name to Wood’s Humane Society in San Luis Obispo, https://woodshumanesociety.org/.
Family and friends honored and celebrated Jack’s life at Evans Life Celebration Home-Forest Hill, MD on July 3. 2024.
For friends and family on the West Coast, a celebration of life will also be held at a later date in Paso Robles.
