Hispanic heritage event returns this year to Downtown Park

Celebration coincides with the start of Hispanic Heritage Month

    – Mujeres de Acción is bringing back its flagship Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 15. Formerly known as the Mexican Independence Day Celebration, this event, now in its third year, has attracted thousands of people and aims to do the same in 2024. The celebration will be held in Downtown Park this year and is co-sponsored by the City of Paso Robles. The first 100 to RSVP will receive a special gift.

“We’re excited to bring back the many food vendors, community resources, and talented entertainers for this year’s event,” said Yessenia Echevarria, founder and executive director of Mujeres de Acción. “We are excited to expand the event to a prominent part of town, and the entire Paso Robles community is welcome as there will be something for everyone.”

As in previous years, Mujeres de Acción’s celebration coincides with the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year’s event celebrates all Hispanic countries in South and Central America, highlighting their food, traditions, and customs. Music will be central to the event, providing attendees the opportunity to dance and enjoy themselves. “We’re looking forward to sharing authentic Mexican music and invite everyone to come out—and bring a partner too!” said Event Organizer at Mujeres de Acción Brenda Campoverde, “It will be a memorable evening, so put it on your calendar and we’ll see you there.”
