Learn applique techniques at upcoming workshop

The instructor for the course is Lisa Gray of the Quilter’s Studio.
– The Paso Robles Recreation Department will host a class on applique techniques on Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Centennial Live Oak Room.
Instructor Lisa Gray of the Quilter’s Studio will teach tips for successful hand and machine applique designs for sewing projects. The workshop will cover various applique methods, including needle turn and raw edge techniques, allowing students to build on their quilt-making knowledge and explore new techniques. The class is open to participants aged 16 and older.
Participants will learn which applique technique will be most successful for their projects. A sewing machine is recommended for the class, though it is optional for those focusing only on hand applique. A supply list will be provided by the instructor.
Students who plan to use a sewing machine should ensure it is in good working order and be familiar with its operation.
