Paso Robles Police arrest suspect in stabbing incident
Suspect reportedly fled to Kern County after incident
– On Sunday at approximately 2:07 a.m., Paso Robles Police were notified of a stabbing victim who was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the altercation occurred earlier in the morning in the 3300 block of Vine Street.
During the investigation, police identified Alberto CruzNieves, 32, of Paso Robles as the suspect. Authorities learned that CruzNieves had fled the scene in a vehicle after the stabbing. California Highway Patrol officers in Kern County located CruzNieves in a vehicle and took him into custody without incident. He was later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
