Tribute show features Cassie B’s unique vocal flair and musical style, honoring Swift’s popular songs
– The Templeton Performing Arts Center will host Cassie B’s show, Dream Like Taylor, on Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. This family-friendly event celebrates Taylor Swift’s top hits, including “Shake it Off,” “Blank Space,” and “Love Story.”
Cassie B, a singer, songwriter, and hip-hop dancer, created Dream Like Taylor with her team in March at U.C. San Diego. The tribute show features Cassie B’s unique vocal flair and musical style, honoring Swift’s popular songs.
In addition to Dream Like Taylor, Cassie B is the official singer for the San Diego Padres, performing the national anthem and entertaining fans at Petco Park. Her journey with the Padres began when team representatives discovered her performing at a venue near the stadium.
Cassie B’s passion for performing began in elementary school, where she started in musical theatre. She participated in school theatre productions and received voice lessons during middle and high school. Her interests expanded to hip-hop dance, joining her high school’s team, Future Shock, and later the senior adult team, Culture Shock.
After high school, Cassie B auditioned at Sea World, where she became a host for the Shamu Christmas show and later a dancer and singer in live performances. She met her husband, Ryan, during her 8.5 years at Sea World, and they collaborated to pursue a music career.
In 2015, Cassie and Ryan formed a cover band, which led to the debut of Dream Like Taylor in March 2024. Cassie B says she enjoys performing songs like “Wildest Dreams” and “I Knew You Were Trouble,” which deepened her connection as a “Swiftie.”
Cassie B also writes and streams her original music, described as pop with a country influence, often featuring the banjo. She plans to release a single EP album titled “Good Time Tonight.”
